After twelve years of development, Kirk Originals are delighted to announce SUNBEAM and BEAM, two entirely new collections of eyewear made entirely from acrylic.
Handmade in France from start to finish, this unique collection uses specially enhanced, unique materials to create frames unlike anything ever seen before.
Kirk Originals have been using acrylic temples since the late 1990s but BEAM and SUNBEAM, also benefit acrylic fronts.

“To celebrate our 20th anniversary in 2012, we wanted to launch something really special,” said Jason Kirk. “Beam is unique, combining technical advancement with aesthetic beauty“.
Kirk Originals have been creating award winning eyewear since 1992. Their new flagship store on Conduit St, London W1 has been making headlines in design magazines as well as the fashion and trade press. They have a reputation for bold colourful eyewear and dress the eyes of style leaders all over the world – celebrity clients include Mika, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Oasis, U2, Samuel L.Jackson, Heston Blumenthal and Julia Roberts.
The Spark
Shapes are oversized with soft lines and curves to emphasise the colour combinations. A new process of colour marriage allows bright hues to merge and separate in tones of fluorescent orange, yellow, pink and aqua. The colours play together to form a unique print so that each frame has its own colour identity and is a personalised, tailored piece.
“ I have done a lot of travelling this year, listening to opticians and the eyewear buying public,” continued Kirk. “Consumers, like opticians, are so bored with black and tortoise shell. People are seeking out colour and vivacity in their eyewear to brighten up their stores and their lives.”
Beam and Sunbeam will be launched at Silmo Paris 2011 and London Fashion Week in Sept 2011 for Spring Summer 2012.

Hi there – is it possible for me to purchase a Kirk Originals frame 13008 (Red) directly from you. I will then take them to my optometrist who does not stock your product, to have the lenses put into the frames.
How much would they be and can I get them from your distributor in Auckland? Who is your distributor?
