LEISURE SOCIETY DEBUTS FIVES NEW STYLES AT SILMO

Leisure Society, the ultra luxe eyewear collection from designer, Shane Baum, a member of the CFDA whose portfolio includes work for Louis Vuitton eyewear, recently announced the Spring/Summer 2012 Collection.

The Leisure Society Collection took over three years to develop and was originally launched in September 2010 with four sunglass and five ophthalmic frames. The sophomore Collection now expands to include seven sunglasses and ten ophthalmic frames. Each frame, an heirloom piece, is handmade in Japan by the world’s nest artisanal craftsmen and requires six hours to engrave, thereby limiting production to only four frames per day.

The Stanford in Silver/Black

The Stanford – Reminiscent of 1950’s, this metal acetate combination frame with horn accents is as stately as it is refined. Offered as an ophthalmic frame or sunglass. Available in Gold/Black, Gold/Brown, Silver/Black, Silver/Bone, and Silver/Brown in size 48-18-142.

The Dartmouth in Gold/Brown

The Dartmouth – The Dartmouth offers a narrow silhouette with a slight upsweep across the brow, and features horn accents. Offered as an ophthalmic frame or sunglass, The Dartmouth is available in Gold/Brown, Gold/Molasses, Silver/Black, Silver/Smoke, and Silver/Tortoise in size 54-18-142.

The Cornell in Sliver/Smoke

The Cornell – The rounded Cornell is a classic, handsome frame with timeless appeal. Offered as an ophthalmic frame or sunglass with horn accents. Available in Gold/Brown, Silver/Black, Silver/Bone, Silver/Smoke, and Silver/Tortoise in size 48-18-142.

The Brown in Smoke

The Brown – This rectangular frame with an all acetate front and horn accents is commanding, handsome, and always in style. Offered as an ophthalmic frame or sunglass. Available in Bone, Burgundy/Tortoise, Sahara/Tortoise, Smoke, and Tortoise in size 49-17-142.

The Duke in Brown

The Duke – With a slight angle across the top, The Duke is bit bolder than your traditional rectangular frame.  With horn accents, The Duke is offered as an ophthalmic frame or sunglass. Available in Bone, Brown, Matte Black, Sahara/Tortoise, and Tortoise in size 54-16-142.

All frames in the Spring/Summer 2012 Collection are 100% pure titanium plated in 12, 18, and 24 karat gold – some accentuated with diamonds, sapphires, or tiger’s eye and other precious metals. The lenses are Polarized CR-39 with a hydrophobic coating and a proprietary twelve layer anti-re reflective coating. Additionally lenses are 99% distortion free, carry 100% UVA/UVB protection, and block eye fatiguing blue light.
